Vintage Reading Hardware Co RHCo Cast Brass letter slot 8" x 1-15/16"

Description

This listing is for one vintage cast brass letter slot and interior plate made by the Reading Hardware Co, of Reading, PA. The interior plate has the RHCo logo, although it is difficult to read. The slot cover spring is good.
There is some old paint, and the finish is scratched and worn. Where the finish is missing, the metal has darkened.
The slot itself is 8″ long and 1-15/16″ wide. The plate is 10-7/8″ long and 3-11/16″ wide. The interior plate is slightly smaller, 10-11/16″ x 3-9/16″.  The Letter slot has two threaded holes on the back that accept 1/4″ #20 bolts. The interior plate is designed to hide those bolt heads and has 4 countersunk screw holes for mounting (fasteners are not included, but the bolt threads are a readily available standard size).
We will send one slot and interior plate from the group shown in the second photograph. Each slot is in the same condition, but the paint and patina vary.
