Here’s the post from our website and Facebook page….
Here’s our 2006 Boston Whaler 110 Tender -all the way from the freshwaters of Minnesota!
Boston Whaler stopped producing boats under 13’ last year, making these little 11 footers even harder to find.
They’re perfect yacht tenders, first boats, or sunset cruisers with your favorite person or pet.
The
stainless steel side rails give you something to hold onto, and also accommodate oarlocks – rowing, by the-way is great out-of-the-gym exercise!
It’s also a great introduction to boating!
Many may think “oarlock” sounds scary, conjuring up images of creepy warlocks or maybe even Orcs if said fast enough with the right drawl, from Tolkien’s Middle Earth – but they really are not related, aren’t scary, and should not be confused. It’s just a device that holds an oar in place.
By the way – oars are long and need to be fastened to a fulcrum or a pivot point, and should not be confused with paddles, which are shorter and hand held.
My wife, who can speak in great detail of the differences between Orcs and warlocks, constantly needs to be reminded about paddles and oars.
The 110s are heavier, have higher sides, and are more stable than the Classic 11 foot Whaler from the 70s and 80s, though not quite as quick or performance oriented – they are the perfect tender.
She’s powered by a Yamaha Four Stroke 20 horsepower with Electric Start, and Power Trim and Tilt – which also has never been in saltwater.
Super Quiet, Super Reliable and Super Fuel Efficient – and Trim and tilt is a real luxury
on smaller motors!
Our mechanic is currently checking her over, making sure the navigation lights are working, the motor’s running as it should, etc, etc.
The bottom has never been painted, she’s in great shape, as cushions and a folding seat not pictured) and she’ll be ready for delivery soon!
She’s offered with or without trailer, starting @ 12k.
We will also consider selling without the motor.
More pics will be available soon, if you want her, give us a call between 10am and 7pm EST. 757-329-9979
